In June, kids involved in Marion County’s juvenile justice system were invited to a day of fun and fishing at Belmont Beach along the White River. Hosted by the Marion Superior Court Probation Department, the event was designed to teach the kids about fishing and provide a social experience in nature. Support for the event included the Indiana Department of Natural Resources, Voices Corporation, New Breed of Youth Mentoring, Cabela’s, Dick’s Sporting Goods, and Wheeler Ministries. Chef Samuel Brown prepared fresh fish donated by Caplinger’s Seafood Market.
