Andrea R. Trevino was appointed to the Allen Superior Court, succeeding Judge Daniel Heath, who retired earlier this year. Trevino has served as a Magistrate in Allen County Circuit Court since 2013. Trevino earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Saint Joseph’s College and her law degree from Indiana University Maurer School of Law.
John M. Plummer III was appointed to the Lawrence Superior Court, succeeding Judge Michael Robbins, who retired earlier this year. Plummer currently serves as juvenile referee in the Lawrence County Circuit Court. Prior to his appointment as referee in 2014, Plummer was in private practice and served part-time as a public defender. Plummer earned a Bachelor of Arts from Indiana University and his law degree from Thomas M. Cooley School of Law.
AmyMarie Travis was appointed to the Jackson Superior Court, succeeding Judge Bruce Markel III, who retired in May. Travis has served as prosecutor in Jackson County since 2012. Prior to working in the Jackson County Prosecutor’s Office, she served as a deputy prosecutor in Lake and Monroe counties and was in private practice. Travis earned a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University and a law degree from the Indiana University Maurer School of Law.
Michael J. Drenth was appointed to the Porter Superior Court, succeeding Judge Julia Jent, who retired June 1. Drenth has served as deputy prosecutor in Porter County since 1992. Drenth earned a bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University and a law degree from Valparaiso University School of Law.
Jill D. Wesch was appointed to the Vermillion Circuit Court, succeeding Judge Bruce V. Stengel, who retired in April. Wesch has served as chief deputy prosecutor in Vermillion County since 2015. Prior to that, Wesch was in private practice and worked for the Indiana Department of Child Services. Wesch received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern Indiana and a law degree from Valparaiso University School of Law.
