Mary Willis, Chief Administrative Officer of the Indiana Supreme Court’s Office of Judicial Administration, announced that Indiana Office of Court Services (IOCS) Deputy Director Justin Forkner has been promoted to Executive Director. The position was previously held by Jane Seigel, who announced her well-deserved spring retirement after many years of dedicated and faithful service.
Forkner, an Indianapolis native, graduated from Indiana University in 2001 with a degree in History. Upon graduation, he was commissioned into active military service as a Field Artillery Officer in the U.S. Army, where he spent more than seven years on active duty, including tours in Iraq and Afghanistan. He has also served five years in the Indiana Army National Guard.
Forkner graduated from the IU-McKinney School of Law in 2010. He then served as a judicial clerk for Chief Justice Randall Shepard, Justice Mark Massa, and Justice Steven David. In 2014, he moved to the Indiana Department of Homeland Security, where he served as Administrative Law Judge and agency legal counsel. Forkner returned to the Court in 2016 to serve as Deputy Director.
