15 Honored for Outstanding Service to Legal Profession, the Public, and Civic Education

March 27, 2018

JLAP Executive Director Terry Harrell with Justice Steven David.
JLAP Executive Director Terry Harrell accepts an award from Justice Steven David after being named a 2017 Life Fellow by the Indiana Bar Foundation.

The Indiana Bar Foundation honored a group of servant-leaders at its December 10 recognition dinner at the Crowne Plaza/Union Station in downtown Indianapolis. The group of attorneys and judges included those dedicated to the delivery of pro bono legal services, civic education, and service to the legal profession and the public through community service.
Whether rooting out public corruption as a United States Attorney for the Northern District of Indiana or starting a program that serves teenagers in a small, southern Indiana town, each honoree had a common thread through their careers: integrity, perseverance, and commitment to public service.
The Indiana Bar Foundation’s mission is to strengthen appreciation for the rule of law and civic education for all Hoosiers. The Foundation is a nonprofit that educates tomorrow’s leaders, expands civil justice, and aids the legal profession.
