Court family mourns loss

Honorable Evan S. Roberts

The Honorable Evan S. Roberts, Judge of the Elkhart Superior Court #1, died November 11 at Northwestern Hospital in Chicago after a courageous battle with AML Leukemia which was diagnosed in March 2017. He was 52 years old.
Judge Roberts was a graduate of Deerfield High School in Chicago, Purdue University, John Marshall Law School in Chicago, and earned his Master of Laws (LLM) degree from Georgetown University.
Judge Roberts served in the United States Marine Corps in Quantico, VA. In January 2006, Governor Mitch Daniels appointed him as Judge of Elkhart Superior Court I. He was a board member of Family Christian Development Center in Nappanee. Judge Roberts is survived by his wife, Susan (Arch) and daughters, Zoe and Elle.
