This year’s Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law commencement ceremony featured a keynote address from Indiana Supreme Court Justice Steven David. Justice David spoke during the May 13 event at the Indiana Convention Center.
Justice David graduated from IU McKinney in 1982 before beginning active duty in the United States Army Judge Advocate General’s Corps until 1986. Justice David continued his military career on reserve duty until 2010, when he retired as a colonel. His civilian legal practice included work in private practice and as the Boone Circuit Court judge, a position he held until he was appointed to the state’s highest court in October 2010.
