Hon. Mary G. Willis’ 25 years of service in the practice of law were recognized at the Indiana State Bar Association’s awards luncheon in Indianapolis on Sept. 9.
Prior to accepting her current position as Chief Administrative Officer of the Indiana Supreme Court, Judge Willis was elected as the judge of the Henry Circuit Court #1 in 2003, and was recently elected to her third term. Judge Willis received her B.S. from Ball State University and her J.D. from the I.U. Robert H. McKinney School of Law. She has served on the Judicial Administration and Judicial Education Conference committees.
Judge Willis regularly teaches juvenile law to probation officers at orientation and annual training, as well as statutory and case updates to juvenile judges. She is a former member of the board of directors of the Judicial Conference, where she is a member of the Strategic Planning Committee, and is former president of both the Indiana Judges Association and the Indiana Council of Juvenile & Family Court Judges.
