Family Court Grant Applications Available

June 30, 2009

Applications are now available for 2010 Family Court Project Grants.  The Family Court Project began in 1999 as an effort to serve families and children in our courts, especially those families with multiple cases pending before the court.
In addition to multiple-case coordination, programming options include non-adversarial dispute resolution, service referral and coordination, assistance for families without attorneys, and others with a family focus in special needs areas such as truancy or addiction.
Grant awards typically range between $10,000 to $40,000, depending on the programming type and size of the requesting county, or the number of counties coordinating in the project.  Family Court Project Manager Loretta Oleksy is available to assist you in developing your project.
For more information, please contact her at 317-233-0784 or [email protected], or visit the Family Court web site at courts.in.gov/family-court.
The web site includes a history of the project, descriptions of current project counties, and the 2010 grant application form.  Applications are due August 1, 2009, and the selected counties will begin operation in January, 2010.
